You're right, Suzanne. It only reinforces the false notion that people who believe there's a climate crisis are crazy. How does that help? It doesn't. The dialogue is alive and well and has been going on for generations. We don't need more talk, we need more action.

They could get a group together to show how much garbage they can dredge up from popular bathing beaches and send out press releases with photos of toddlers in bathing suits standing beside them. They could do TikTok videos that test the water in various places and post the results. There are so many better ways of getting the message across.
