You are so right about the morons, Janet. I’m on a neighborhood FB page that’s useful for things like finding out what’s going on near me, but I have to ignore a lot of the comments or my blood boils.

Case in point: the local police department posted about a woman who was arrested for throwing a hammer at a car, picking it up and throwing it again at another car. I made a comment about the failure of our mental health care system. This prompted some asshat to ask why I thought it was a mental health issue. I explained about lack of motive and another woman explained about logic but he wasn’t convinced.

Another person made a disparaging remark about the behavior being typical of people from Wilson (the less affluent area adjacent to ours). Somebody else opined that we better watch out because the Democrats will be coming for our hammers next.

Knowing these people live near me is not comforting.
