When you use the word “cunt” in this manner, Wee, it makes you look like a mysogynist. It’s ironic that your essay about “being nice” contains one of the most offensive words in the English language. Throwing it in there is counterproductive, too, because a lot of people will not read the story because of that one word. It’s what in communications theory is called “noise in the channel.” Your message falls on deaf ears because you contaminated with a word that is offensive to so many people that they won’t read it and might even block you. I’m not trolling you in saying this. I’m not saying it to put you down or hurt your feelings. I’m pointing it out to raise awareness because you and some of your readers might not realize that that word is deeply demeaning and disturbing. It also can trigger some very unpleasant memories, like when someone used that word against us just before subjecting us to physical violence.
