What’s hypocritical is that half that audience probably thought the jokes told at the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe about Ann Coulter were hilarious. I didn’t hear any outrage about that, and they were extremely vicious. She wasn’t even the roastee, and they kept on and on.

I can’t stand Ann Coulter, but no human being deserves that kind of verbal abuse; I don’t care about their politics. This is probably the worst one:

British comedian Jimmy Carr called Coulter “one of the most repugnant, hateful, hatchet-faced bitches alive. It’s not too late to change, Ann. You could kill yourself!” I guess some think it’s okay to demean women about their appearance as long as you disagree with their politics.
