What exactly is “boomer philosophy”? Did we come up with it at Woodstock and pass it around? There are millions of us. We don’t share a universal philosophy. A lot of what our generation gets blamed for started in the post-civil war era. To quote boomer Billy Joel, “ We didn’t start the fire.”

Who do you think got clean air and water laws passed and insisted on birth control to help with overpopulation? Who invented Earth Day and Pride? Not everyone became a hedge fund manager or a oil company executive. We’re not all rich and many of us worked our way through college or didn’t go at all. We’re just as diverse a generation as any.
