What both parties fail to realize is that we Independents are independent because neither party has a platform we can wholly endorse, and we don't want to be associated with the extremist wackos on both sides. When you have two extremes who can't cooperate, nothing gets done. I've been voting like a Democrat lately because, although I'm not 100% in favor of their policies, they're head and shoulders above the spineless wonders in the Republican party. Trump is an abomination I can neither forgive nor forget.
