We have an adjustable base on our Sleep Number bed that was a complete waste of money. We never use it. I tried it a few times, but my husband didn’t dig it and the pillows kept falling off the bed. As for stupid fees, we recently returned a leased car and were slapped with a $350 “turn-in” fee. Okay, fine. It was on the contract, which we conveniently ignored since, as they expect, when you pick up your new car, the last thing you’re thinking about is three years down the road when you return it. What really pissed me off is that they charged us sales tax on the turn-in fee: illegal in some states, but unfortunately not in ours. What did they sell us that had to be taxed? The opportunity to return something that belonged to them already?What a racket!
