This is so sad, Zibby. I’m concerned that after six years it’s still hitting you this hard, especially since you know the kids are fine and they’re coming back. And poor Kyle! He marries a woman with four children, pretty heroic to start with, and every time he gets extended time alone with her, she can’t enjoy it. If you aren’t getting therapy for this already, please consider it. This extreme reaction isn’t good for you, your kids, or your marriage. The kids will eventually leave the nest and rarely return. How will you cope then?
