There's always a hidden agenda, isn't there, Deborah? I was thinking about the young woman poet who spoke at Biden's innauguration. Obviously, she was chosen for the quality of her work, but I suspect the fact that her age, beauty, poise, and background were factors in the choice as well. Old, white, male, and cranky Robert Frost wouldn't have stood a chance.
