There are so many variables that it’s silly for anyone to say either renting or owning is better. It depends. I own because my home and garden are very important to me. I would never own a home with an HOA, either. I don’t like other people deciding what color I paint my door and what I can or can’t plant in my yard. These things matter to me. Other people could not care less about them. Our values should be our guide when making this choice. After that, just pay attention and keep your fingers crossed.
