There are people who have committed crimes punishable by law who should be shunned by society. We have prisons for that. I think it’s vital that we understand the phenomenon, but the more important focus should be on how to eradicate it, don’t you think? We can beat people up forever and still end up in the same or a worse place.

Please don’t try to tell me what I understand or don’t understand. You don’t know me or my experiences. I would never presume to say something like that to you. Demeaning me by questioning my capacity to understand, might make you feel like you scored some sort of point, but it’s an ad hominem attack, unworthy of someone of your intellect and sophistication.
