The acting and cinematography is great but, oy vey, this movie is nearly three hours of misery. If you watch the video I shared, you’ll be shocked at how many clips there are of her being genuinely happy. It’s also good to remember that all three of her marriages ended when she decided to leave. She was more in control than people give her credit. (And I suspect it was the inability of others to control her that may have gotten her killed.)
