Thanks, Paul. Talk about an inconvenient truth. I don’t think Medium markets itself to readers. I only found out about it because someone on a FB page I’m on shared a story they wrote on Medium. Most people I’ve told about it had never heard of it. Why do I write here? 1. I was writing on FB all the time for nothing. Something is better than nothing. It’s a small part of my multiple income stream strategy. 2. It makes me feel famous-ish. 3. It’s helping me develop a body of work I can morph into something else. Take poetry for example. You earn pennies, even after something’s been out there for months. But, eventually, I’ll have enough for a book. 4. The community is helping me stay sane. 5. Dopamine rush that’s more virtuous than a slot machine.
