The loss of autonomy is terrifying to me. I’m attached to my home and hope to be here until they wheel me out in a zippered bag.

It occurs to me that getting rid of clutter might improve the chances that my future caregiver will let me stay at home. It’s easier to clean when you don’t have much stuff. it seems that the overwhelming mess is what makes many throw up their hands. I’ve been working on getting rid of clutter for years. I still have a way to go, but I’m making progress.
