Respectfully, your truth is not everyone’s truth. Of course, I’d rather have been on stage last weekend like I was supposed to be, but I couldn’ t and shouldn’t have been. What people are doing now isn’t intended to replace live theater or the holy concept of assembly. On Easter Sunday, a lot of people who would have been in church will be worshipping at home. That doesn’t make it any less spiritual or meaningful, just as what actors are doing now, until they can be together again, isn’t inferior or worthless. It’s just different. Doing something different is good for the creative mind. Those Zoom meetings and YouTube videos are teaching people new ways to communicate. When they return to the theatre, they will have a new perspective. I think it’s fantastic. Sit home and sulk if you can’t have things exactly as you want them. Other people are home making lemonade.
