People write them because we read them. You read “9,000” of them, after all, Susan! (Probably not that many, but a lot. Me, too.) Reading them is everyone’s guilty pleasure, second only to writing them. There’s so much to read here, you can avoid them if you want to. I rarely read what’s in my feed. I just go to the authors and publications that I know write about things I like. I read people who read my stuff and make interesting comments. But, sometimes, I give in to the irresistible urge to give someone the chance to “slip me the answer.” You never know!
