People evolve on this platform. I know I have. I just got a nasty gram from someone who didn't like the fact that I was challenging a writer who specializes in negative commentary to, just for February, try writing positive things. I thought it ironic, to say the least, and considered responding but then I saw how low her level of engagement was and I thought, "Oh! She's new. She's going through THAT phase. I was there once."
Since then, I've tried to be pleasant and positive, but once in a while, someone writes something so profoundly ingnorant, stupid or cruel, I find it hard to let it go. I won't apologize for that, but try not to make my criticism personal, along the lines of "it's your idea that sucks, not you."
BTW Ruby, some consider a single clap a slap in the face, while others won't clap unless it's a 50. I saw someone say they refuse to use Unsplash photos because the photographers aren't paid. Of course in refusing to do so, she's denying them exposure, which is why they're providing photos for free. Aren't people weird?
