Not everyone can afford to be optimistic. It’s far from a sure thing, but if Musk does turn things around, it could take a while. Many Twitter employees have million-dollar mortgages and kids in private school. Maybe they don’t want to go all in for an erratic egotist who fires entire departments on a whim. If a more stable company makes them an offer they can’t refuse, they’re not fools for taking it. Everyone has to look at their own situation and personal goals and decide if the risk is worth the potential rewards.
