We’re encouraged to ask for tips like we’re valet parkers, market your subscriptions and hawk our own stories all over social media. You want “influencers” not writers.

There are many fine writers here who used to make a respectable return on their time investment here who are feeling furious, heartbroken, and betrayed. There’s never any acknowledgment of the pain you’ve inflicted. We never know if our writing is the problem or if we’re just losing the shell game of the month you keep tinkering with. Mastodon? Seriously?
