No dog should be subjected to the unsupervised attentions of a baby or young child. Even dogs who have never before shown signs of aggression have been known to snap when provoked.

This couple was clueless to think publicizing their choice to euthanize their dog wouldn’t prompt outrage. It’s not about today’s cancel culture. It’s longstanding public sentiment. A similar story in a newspaper in 1921 would have gotten its share of letters to the editor condemning the act.
