My visits to Mexico have been pleasant, but I did have my camera stolen. It's not a good idea to tell anyone to let their guard down wherever they travel. My husband had his watch stolen at the Dolphin Hotel in Disneyworld. Outside of tourist areas, things can get decidedly dicey. The drug cartels are still hard at work. My friend's uncle was murdered while traveling in Mexico.
