My nephew had a situation with his wife’s family that risked drama with a traditional wedding. They decided to marry on a Greek island with no family or friends in attendance, just a couple of locals who agreed to be witnesses. It was hard for my sister to not be there for her son’s wedding, but she understood. I was so proud of him for putting his wife’s feelings first. Their marriage is one of the happiest I know.
