My husband and I are Boomers but we never bought a big house and focused mostly on travel and spending money on experiences while we were still young enough to enjoy them. In our area, there are lots of housing developments going up and they’re all McMansions being purchased by people much younger than us.

So maybe instead of writing yet another article assuming millions of people share the same lifestyle and values just because of when they were born, you might want to think about broadening your circle of acquaintance. I think you’ll find that much of what is being said about one particular generation is highly speculative and not based on fact. And if you don’t think my generation inherited a lot of crap we didn’t want from the Greatest Generation, you’re wrong. The people who lived through the Depression were the worst packrats. They kept everything.
