I’ve got to look it up every time I write it because it keeps changing. I think putting these letters together was first about being seen, which I understand, but people are aware there are differences in sex and gender identity. In most cases, is that need to know information? I don’t think it is. All these clinical terms are dehumanizing in a way. Why do we want people to see that part of us first? Is that the most important part of who we are? Isn’t it more likely to have acceptance and inclusivity among groups if we focus on commonalities rather than differences?
