It helps me to remember that a lot of my problems are first world: my car broke down and it took AAA four hours to show up to tow it. My night vision is going. My beloved mailman retired. My sister said something terribly insensitive. Boo, hoo, hoo! It's not cool to tell people their problems aren't a big deal but it helps me to tell myself that.
