Interesting read, Harry. I don't imagine Virginia was a barrel of laughs. I've never read her stuff, though. She was much in vogue when I was in college as a "feminist writer", a concept I found annoying, so I avoided her. I have read Hemingway and, although I'm not a fan, I think knocking back bellinis with him at Harry's Bar in Venice would beat the hell out of breakfast with Virginia. In the end, though, he killed himself, too.
