I’m pretty sure the “spring is sprung” one is also in a Bugs Bunny cartoon (the birdie version). I recite the first part almost every year and my impression was that I got it from Bugs. I could be wrong, of course. My Dad was also fond of funny sayings and poems. His favorite was “Antigonish” by Hughes Mearns about the man on the stair who wasn’t there.
