I’m not sure you fully understand how this comes off to the majority of writers here who have worked most every day for a year or more and never had a month like you did right out of the gate. I’ve had a few, but it wasn’t because of a bonus. Do bonuses happen? The one you got was the first of its kind. You got lucky on that score. They may never give them out again. Medium is constantly trying out new things, some of which work in our favor and some of which do not. I wouldn’t be surprised if those bonuses discouraged as many people as they encouraged. The crazy thing is, they may even have been entirely random, despite the reason you were given. A lot of those who got them have no idea why.
