I’m guessing your neighbors are wealthy. I can’t imagine the cost of that operation. I can see why they were reluctant to spend more cleanup. My across the street neighbor recently took down a glorious magnolia tree that I grieved with heartfelt sincerity. I understood. She’s elderly, her son had died unexpectedly and clearing the driveway when the blossoms and the leaves fell was too much for her. If I had known all this before she had it cut down, I would have offered to do the annual cleanups, but it’s too late for that. I’m glad your view has since improved.
