I'm glad I traveled while I was young. There are lots of places I'm not up for anymore. A thousand dollars in an emergency fund is a minimum, but most people don't even have that. Always carry cash is not a boomer thing. That was our parents. We all had credit cards in our 20s. You could write the interest off on your taxes back then. That encouraged a lot of bad habits.
