I’m at a loss to understand how you think anything I wrote disrespected teachers. My son is a teacher. My parents and my father-in-law were teachers, as are two of my oldest and dearest friends. I assure you I have nothing but respect and admiration for the profession. You have every right to be angry about the gross deficiency in the way state and federal teacher loan forgiveness programs have been managed, but if you want to direct your anger at someone, I suggest you select a more appropriate target. Better yet, write a story about this aspect of the loan forgiveness situation yourself. I would be interested to read it.
