I’m amazed anyone who knows anything about Henry VIII thinks he beheaded all his wives. I don’t buy that it’s a general misconception, however I do admit that people can be astonishingly clueless about almost anything! I knew a woman once who believed feelings accompanied transplanted hearts, a man (with a PhD in engineering, no less) who didn’t believe animals experienced pain, and another guy who flat out refused to believe Elvis Presley ever took any pills stronger than aspirin.
