If you’re trying to sell off an estate fast, you’re going to take a loss. I have a bunch of stuff from my in-laws and my family that I’ve been selling off slowly over a period of years. Books can be a tough sell, but certain ones do okay. The leather bound Easton Press books tend to hold their value and I got a great price on a set of Time Life books about the Wild West. Certain kinds of china and glassware are worth something, but you have to do your research.
