If they don't like the rules, they don't have to play the game. A writer for your publication is not your customer. You are not even required to respond to them. It pays to keep conversation with entitled people to a minimum. Just throw some boilerplate fuckoff-in-the-nicest-way-possible language at them and call it a day. "Due to circumstances beyond our control, management is prohibited from any further communication with you."
