I wish my husband only spent $5,000 on wine in three years, Jennifer. On the plus side, he has no other hobbies. Some people spend $20,000 a year on a golf membership. At least with the wine I can participate and so can our friends.

As pissed as you were, you probably weren't as pissed as my husband was when I used one of our most expensive bottles of wine in spaghetti sauce. (I had no idea it cost a lot. He didn't have the nerve to tell me how much it was when he bought it.) I didn't hear the end of that for a long time. It was many years ago. We're both older and wiser now.
