I was taught that you never wear anything to a wedding that might upstage the bride. It's the bride and groom's time in the spotlight, not yours. Women shouldn't wear white or anything over-the-top sexy or unusual. You shouldn't go the other way either. A very pretty girl, who happed to be magnificently well-endowed, wore a black, shapeless, sacklike thing to my wedding. Several people asked me if she was my husband's ex-girlfriend demonstrating how devastated she was that he was marrying someone else. She wasn't, but she tried so hard not to draw attention to herself that she drew the wrong kind. As Tamny Wynette sang, "Sometimes it's hard to be a woman."
