I was also rejected. My friend was accepted and is getting paid. She complains about the abusive, illiterate comments she gets on her articles, though. I have 1.5k followers on Medium, 1.3k on Twitter, and my own website. I’ve also had my work featured in print publications. I can only guess that the subjects I tend to cover don’t appeal to them, or that they reached a quota.
