I think you hit the nail on the head, Joe. I also think, in some cases, they’re worried about losing their jobs, particularly middle management. My husband works for a big multinational company. They keep moving the “back to the office” date. They’re going from assigned space to reserved space.

In his job, my husband almost always works with people remotely. Even his boss is in another state. There’s no reason to house workers like him. When people working remotely saves the company money, why wouldn’t they keep doing it?
