I think we rob ourselves of the joy in art by scrutinizing the lifestyles, politics, and opinions of those who create it. I read one story by an art museum guide who refuses to include certain artists on their tours because they disapprove of them as human beings. Both artists are long dead. The only people being hurt by the guide's self-righteousness are the clients who have to endure this ridiculous censorship.

All humans are flawed. To reject great art because of the artist's human flaws is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
