I think the problem may be what we choose to read. If we click on stories about certain subjects, like how-to make money on Medium or anything related to Elon Musk, we’re bound to find a lot of repackaged, regurgitated crap. There are a number of excellent writers whose stories I check out on a regular basis. They rarely disappoint me. Medium is now geared to promoting writers rather than publications. Find the writers whose work you admire and make it a habit to read their stories. Since I’ve been doing that, I rarely see the garbage others churn out.
