I think it’s a nice idea to get people together before you go, but the term living funeral bothers me a bit. If it were me, I’d prefer a few informal, smaller get-togethers, which often do happen organically. If I were dying soon, I’d like to let other people know what they meant to me. Hearing myself eulogized might be a bit embarrassing.
