I love my hometown of New Paltz, NY. I might go back there if I could afford it, but the healthcare situation isn’t great and that’s an important consideration for people my age. Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley suits me fine. I lived in the SF Bay Area for over 30 years and loved it but I would miss the four seasons. Besides, it’s no longer as nice as it used to be.
