I lived in New Jersey for two years. It’s much nicer than people think. Most New Yorkers think of Paramus (tax free clothing in miles of malls). But places like Clinton and Frenchtown are gloriously picturesque. The diners are really special, and they always give you free coleslaw and pickles. Just about every town has a diner. The Edison Diner is one of my favorites. Two things I never understood though: jug handles and Taylor ham.
