I know people who live on Martha’s Vineyard. They have a summer home there. Like many who live there, the family bought it ages ago when it was incredibly cheap. The Vineyard has been home to black families for over 100 years and some have been there for generations. It’s only about 20% urban elite jerks and that number drops to zero around Labor Day. If Desantis thought they’d be mistreated on Martha’s Vineyard, he misread the room. It’s also been a long-time artists colony and artists embrace outcasts.
