I just watched Killers of the Flower Moon, Ossiana, and had a similar reaction. Although the story focuses mostly on the white men who either participated in a coordinated effort to intermarry with and then murder the Osage for their oil-rich land or who knew or suspected and did nothing, there were plenty of women profiting from these crimes as well. The Osage murders were different in that the killers pretended to be friends with their victims’ best interests at heart, but the result was the same.
