I hate pseudonyms. I used to comment on a local issues blog in my former community. Half the comments were by people using handles like “countrygirl2000" and “hotRod16.” If someone is too much of a coward to own their opinions, I don’t want to hear them. Usually it was about whether or not we should raise the school taxes or replace some city council person. It was ridiculous. People used to use pseudonyms to write porn to avoid being arrested. If you’re just writing about sex, you probably don’t have to worry too much. How can you buy that its a true story personal narrative if the person uses a fake name? I think it’s an excuse for making stuff up. People with active interesting sex lives are too busy to write about them anyway.
