I had both dolls, C.A. My mother held out on Barbie as long as she could, but I was her fifth daughter and she finally broke down. Barbie didn’t do me any harm, though. Making clothes and building my own houses for her developed my creativity. Barbie was never my role model. I already had a great mother for that. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
