I guess if you don't read comments, you won't read this. But, if you do, I don't understand why anybody thinks of Medium as a blogging platform. I guess those who don't have their own publication and don't contribute to other publications might, but it always sounds weird to me. In my case, writing on Medium has been a process. I read a lot and comment when I have something to say, which is also a lot. I've had fun experimenting with different forms and subjects, I've made great friends here, too. I don't just read what Medium feeds me. I know the writers and publications that are good and once you start checking into them regularly the good stuff follows. However, as much as we dislike it, if we want people to read our stuff we have to promote it. Even folks on the NY Times Bestseller List have to plug their books. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next.
