I gave a party once where no one came. It was devastating. I didn’t throw another one for ten years. When I did start entertaining again, I had some great parties. I think part of it was the house. It was modest but the layout was perfect for entertaining. My current house is not a great party house, although I have had one good party since I’ve lived here.

New Year’s is tricky, as are most holidays. I like to stay home on New Year’s Eve anyway. It’s amateur night. lol My husband and I will make chili, eat cake, drink champagne, and watch TV. There will be no noisemakers or funny hats. It will be bliss. Happy New Year!
