I don’t like Tom Cruise the person although I admire his work ethic. As an actor, he’s okay, usually. In The Last Samurai, he was awful. An alcoholic Civil War soldier with perfect teeth? Yeah, that could happen. 🙄 I also hated him in Interview with the Vampire. His ego prompted him to insist on playing Lestat but he was all wrong for the role. Would it have been better if he played Louis and Brad Pitt played Lestat? Maybe. He was great in Magnolia, though. Never better.
